Welcome to The Freddie Mercury Hotel
We are delighted to share with you this incredible brand-new property “The Freddie Mercury Hotel by Swiss Hotel Apartments”, an impressive new hotel, is located at platform 1 of Montreux railway station. It is named after the lead singer from the legendary rock band Queen, who had strong associations with the town of Montreux.
The Freddie Mercury Hotel is positioned as a 4-star private hotel offering a modern, and youthful vibe, with a touch of ‘Rock ‘n Roll’.
The five-storey The Freddie Mercury building, features 89 rooms. All five floors of the hotel have a colour theme corresponding to something he treasured.
The colour red runs across the fifth floor, representing his love for Japan after visiting the country during a tour in 1975. To reflect his fondness for cats, the third floor has a feline theme.
The Freddie Mercury Hotel features a collection of 120 pictures from Freddie Mercury’s private album, specially curated by Queen Band Manager, Jim Beach who serves as a consultant on the project.
The modern and eco-friendly hotel is equipped with a natural ventilation system and triple glazing insulation for your comfort. The entire roof is covered with solar panels, which produce the necessary energy for heating, hot water and electricity.
Each room is comprised of an open plan living area with TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Daily cleaning service is offered. Some units feature a terrace/balcony.

Located in downtown of Montreux at Lake Geneve, yet next to the train station.
The Hotel honours the legacy and reflects Freddie Mercury’s life, paying homage to some of his favourite places, cities, and things. The hotel has a minimalistic and urban concept.

Queen recorded 7 albums in Montreux, and Freddie Mercury enjoyed the time he spent there, being still remembered with the Queen recording Studios, and the statue of him at the Montreux main marketplace, on Lake Geneva, or known locally as Lac Leman.
